Pantone Specialty Metallics & Pearlescents is a brand new collection of 175 luxurious colours for products and any other applications where metallic colours are applied to a product or surface.
The palette in this collection was carefully selected to meet the tremendous consumer demand for metallic and lustrous product finishes. These high-trending colours provide a broad range of colour inspiration and on-target direction to designers, product developers and manufacturers.
Metallic Colors
The new collection features 117 metallic colours created using a 12% aluminum flake as a base. Metallic flake reflects light without changing its wavelength, adding depth and vibrant visual interest without altering the perceived colour.
Pearlescent Colors
The 58 pearlescent colours in the palette were created using both a 12% metallic flake plus a pearl (mica) base. Mica refracts light into analogous wavelengths, creating subtle pearlescent shifts in the perceived colour for a rich, lustrous look.
